Review of the movie "Aao Wish Karein"

Hi,
I watched Amana Shareef’s latest movie “Aao Wish Karein”. Both Amana and Aftab performed extremely well and I think that no other actors could have done a better job than they did in this movie. However, problem with movie is that it is supposed to be funny but it isn’t. And the parts, which are made funny, make the film unsuitable to watch with family of sisters and daughters. If Aftab has written the script then does he think that the viewers would giggle with laughter reading dirty script on his tea shirt or when they find him running around with joy or surprise that his private body parts have suddenly grown large when he gets transformed from a little boy into an adult man? Is this his disgusting sense of humour and he is proud of putting it in a family-watch movie? He must be out of his freaking mind. When movie would be released in Muslim countries they would delete both these parts and there would be nothing left to laugh about in the movie.

Amana looks superb in her Christian wedding dress and the other colourful sprawling huge dress. It is pity that the director is unable to show Amana in close shots when she is wearing both these dresses; camera seems to be million miles away and only takes a few random shots of her. If you have a beautiful women dressed up in beautiful dresses then you jolly well make a feast of it and show it to Amana’s fans and to the world. For God’s sake Mr director, is no body home?

Why can’t Amana see problems in the film and point them out to the film makers or perhaps the system works with its own momentum and nobody can point finger at it?

Salaam.
 :)

Amana Shareef’s cry in the wilderness

Intro: A lady wrote a review I quote “You blame Aftab but you should really blame Aamna Shariff for signing up for this vulgar film Aao Wish Karein. I think that all of us who are fans of Aamna should review our loyalty for her; God knows what next surprise she might have in store for us.”

Reply:
Filmy world has a competitive culture; every individual involved with the film industry works very hard in order to stay alive in that culture and Amana Shareef is no exception. I understand that she works hard long hours well into small hours of the mornings in the hope that the movie will reap her the reward she is working hard for. But if she does not have the right actor to pair up with, the script is of the third rate and the director is of tin-pot quality then the movie is not going to be a success and she must have the frustration we can’t imagine.

Amana does not write the script, Amana does not choose the co-actor in the film and Amana does not choose the film director; she only plays the role put there in the book given to her and she does not have a choice to point finger at any of them because if she does then she doesn’t have a job. Perhaps script of the movie “Aao Wish Karien” was the best hygienic script she was able to find among the several rotten ones offered to her. In the midst of her career rat race she must have her personal life to take care of too. I think accusers must get these complexities of Amana’s filmy web of life clear in their perspectives before they pass judgements on her.

I am sure Amana is aware of the feelings and expectations of her fans especially the Muslim ones and tries to accommodate them in her complex filmy life mandate. When we exhibit dissatisfaction for whatever dress she wears or whatever role she plays in a movie, I am sure that she is paying attention to our concerns and she has her opinion, her reason and her cry in the wilderness for us, which we can’t hear because this is how the system works. I think we must try to listen to her silent cry and reach out to her and support her in her difficult career that she copes with everyday instead of hurling accusations at her.

Salaam.

Hi,
In Amana Shareef’s latest movie “Aao Wish Karein” Amana seems to keep walking from one end of the street to another looking for someone to fall in love with and she doesn’t mind even if “He is a just a kid and has a dimple on his cheek.”  What if someone is older than Amana and he does not have a dimple on his cheek; would she consider him worth a try at least? The older man might not have a dimple on his cheek but he would definitely have colourful experience of falling in love and Amana wouldn’t need the help of the Hitchcock and his silly Wishing Well.

Salaam Namastay.
